The short days of winter are swiftly coming to a close, bringing with them visions of rooftop happy hours, the approach of Aries season, and the sights and sounds of Beyoncé’s country music follow-up to the Renaissance era.
This year also marks the fourth anniversary of Black In Media and what is shaping up to be an exciting new era for our community.
After taking some extended time to asses our goals and how we can best serve our community, we are making a slight shift to Black In Media in both name and mission.
What was formerly Black In Media is now Adeiloue — a space where professional development and the dreams of creators collide.
Adeiloue is not only a space crafted to celebrate what creators aspire to do through their careers and creative work. Adeiloue is a community centered on empowering creators to honor who they are.
At Adeiloue, we believe everyone is a creator in some capacity — whether through a day job, a part-time pursuit, or a one-off project aimed at inspiring others. No matter how we choose to create, we are all a vessel through which inspiration of some form flows.
Adeiloue aims to center the creator in all of us through wholistic creator building. We will explore creator building through professional development programming, engaging special projects, and immersive events that bring our community of creatives together.
Professional development programming remains the foundation of our mission at Adeiloue. And Adeiloue will be grounding our work in offering the information, tools, and resources our Adeiloue community members need to navigate their professional and creative journeys.
Don’t you fret. Our career workshop series will be returning, with our first workshop of the year slated for April. We will be sharing updates soon about that debut Adeiloue Career Workshop and who will be featured.
Our debut special project comprises of spinning the Black In Media Catalogue into the renamed Adeiloue Catalogue — which features content focused on guiding, empowering, and inspiring our community of creators as you all create, build, and plot your own path toward making some kind of change in this world.
The first edition of the Adeiloue Catalogue will drop this Tuesday and will then run on a bi-weekly basis.
And be sure to visit, follow, and share our Instagram page, where we are creating a space for the Adeiloue community to build connections and conversations around culture, professional development, and the inspirations that are moving the global community of creators.
Thanks again for all your support in our first four years.
And we are looking forward to continuing our journey with you and the Adeiloue community.
